Ed joined NMH’s athletic department in 2019 after more than 11 years coaching both boys’ and girls’ tennis teams and girls’ lacrosse. In the past three years, he coached the Brattleboro Union High School boys’ team to a 9–3 record (2017) and a 10-2 record (2018). Ed is a PTR-certified coach at the high school level and a level 2-certified coach in U.S. lacrosse. He is currently serving a three-year term on the USTA New England Board and the Committee for National Development. He has served on the Brattleboro Outing Club’s tennis committee for the past four years, promoting the sport to youth and adults alike. His daughter, Ruby Powers, is an NMH student.
