    Nicole Matos joined Northfield Mount Hermon in 2018 as the head coach of field hockey. Matos comes from Smith College where she was a graduate assistant coach of the field hockey team and an athletic administration fellow. Prior to Smith, she was an assistant coach at Williams College from 2014 to 2016. In her time at Smith and Williams, she helped coach many athletes to All-Conference and All-American honors. As a college athlete, Matos was a four-year goalkeeper at St. Lawrence University, where she set a school record for career saves. She was twice named to the Liberty League All-Conference First Team. Matos earned a bachelor’s in psychology from St. Lawrence and a master’s in exercise and sports studies from Smith College. Matos was awarded the NMH Housen Coaching Award in 2019. Her other duties at NMH include assistant to the athletic director and dorm head.
