Mace has been coaching varsity golf since 1997, and the team placed third at New Englands in 2010. Two of her players have been individual champions. NMH still holds the low-score record for the championship tournament at 69. Mace won NMH’s Houson Coaching Award in 2003. Mace was the head coach of varsity field hockey for 20 years, and her team won the Class A New England Championship in 1995. She is a longtime math teacher as well as coach.
Mace played varsity field hockey and squash at Williams College. Currently, she competes regularly in Massachusetts state amateur golf tournaments, and, with her children, has won the Massachusetts Golf Association’s mother-daughter and mother-son tournaments.
