Tom began coaching the boys' and girls' varsity swim team at NMH in the winter of 2014 and has been the head coach of the program since 2015. He spent his first two years rebuilding the numbers of the program; the boys' team more than doubled in size between 2015 and 2016. Tom focused on preparing inexperienced swimmers for NEPSAC Division 1 competitions during that time. In the winter of 2016-2017, he helped more swimmers to qualify for the NEPSAC Championships than had been on the team two years prior. Tom previously coached the Heritage Swim team in 2010-2011 and again from 2014 up to the present. At NMH, Tom also coaches soccer, teaches Latin, and is the dorm head in London dormitory.
Seth joined NMH swimming in the 2016-17 academic year. That year, he helped coach the team to many personal bests, some of the highest individual finishes in New England in recent program history, and a new school record in the Girls' 200 Medley Relay. Seth swam for Williams College from 2012 to 2016. He was a two-time honorable mention Scholar All-American and made the NESCAC All-Academic team every year he was eligible. He captained the team his senior season when Williams won its 14th consecutive NESCAC title and placed sixth at D3 Nationals. Seth posted multiple top-10 NESCAC finishes in the backstroke events and won the team's Nate Krissoff award for leadership. He attended Santa Fe Preparatory School where he was a three-year captain, owned six school records, and posted three top-two finishes at the New Mexico high school state championships. He graduated from Williams cum laude with a bachelor's degree in economics and a concentration in justice and law studies. He joined the mathematics department at NMH in 2016 as part of the Penn Residency Masters in Teaching program and expects to complete his M.S.Ed. in June of 2018.
