Although David earned four high school varsity letters in cross-country and three in track, his extensive background in soccer spanned a much longer period; from his early youth through club, Olympic Development Program, high school, and college, culminating as a member of two NCAA Championship teams. The beginning of his coaching career coincided with the conclusion of his college playing days and his arrival in the classroom. David has coached at both the middle and high school levels, in addition to competitive club soccer. He holds the NSCAA National Diploma. As a former player, his coaching philosophy is shaped by the belief that not only is soccer a player’s game, it is also the best teacher. He seeks to cultivate and strengthen his players' appreciation for the game in order to activate their own desires to achieve, while embracing a team-first mindset, and placing a premium on sportsmanship. David has been coaching at NMH since 2015.
