Stephen has coached varsity Nordic skiing and the NMH outdoor team since 2000. He became head coach of the Nordic team in 2005 and received the 2009–2010 Housen Coaching Award. Stephen also teaches freshman health and landscape drawing, assists with the farm program, and is a member of the Core Team, which deals with substance abuse issues on campus. He holds national instructor certifications in Nordic skiing and white-water canoeing from Greenfield Community College, and is a 1989 graduate of Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. He worked for 12 years as a custom furniture maker, completing commissions that were published in Maison & Jardin. Stephen spends his summers paddling, fly-fishing, mountain biking, and road biking. He lives on campus with his family.
Tim comes from upstate New York where he skied competitively in high school and on a college club team. After living in warmer climates for many years, he is glad to be back in ski country where he has been an assistant coach with the NMH Nordic ski team since 2014. He is a certified New England Nordic Ski Association coach.
