"I’m a teacher and a dean."
A big part of Northfield Mount Hermon is living on our beautiful campus.
We’re close enough to big cities that we never feel out of touch, yet we're far enough away to be a sanctuary. Students stretch out here, physically and intellectually.
Going to boarding school is the perfect way to strike out on your own without having to worry about being left alone. Our advisors are always available with good advice, whether it’s which course to take next semester or what shoes to wear to the dance.
Living in student housing, you’ll be surrounded by new friends from across the country and around the world. That camaraderie is so important that even day students are assigned to dorms so they can participate in parties and study groups and even have a place to sleep on those days when there’s just too much going on to go home.
Food at NMH may be some of the freshest you’ve ever had. In fact, you might pick some of it yourself! Our working farm, run largely by students, produces vegetables and dairy products that stock our kitchen.
At NMH, we also watch over your health. Our health center, staffed by registered nurses and psychologists, is open 24 hours a day. You can get checkups there or go in with any kind of emergency.
Simply put, you’ll feel safe here, learn a lot, and have fun. Come visit us and see.
