Summer Update: June 13, 2019
Dear NMH families,
I hope your students are settling into summer break nicely! Whether it is filled with vacations or enrichment, I hope each of them has a chance to recharge and prepare for the fall.
This is the first edition of the Summer Update, which will contain important information and reminders about when you need to take action on NMH-related matters.
We try not to pepper you with too many emails, so please pay attention to those you do receive. These may include reminders about missing enrollment documents or requests for a photo of your student for the school directory.
Enjoy your summer. I look forward to seeing you and your students in August!
Director of Parent Resources
All parent resources are in one place: Whether you are a parent new to NMH or want a refresher, we’ve made it easy to access the information you need.
Supporting your student: NMH students have a bounty of support available to them. Read this message for families of new students from Dean of Students Nicole Hager to learn how we support students during the transition to NMH, and afterward.
SAT at NMH: The SAT will be offered on campus on Aug. 24, 2019. During this time, the campus will not be open, so students can’t arrive early or use campus resources such as dorms or dining services. The SAT will be offered again on Oct. 5, Nov. 2, Dec. 7, and in 2020 on March 14, May 2, and June 6. Please plan accordingly.
Student orientation and registration: Please note this information about new international family and student orientation and about registration day for all new and returning families.
Family welcome events: Mark your calendar for one of these regional NMH family welcome events hosted by NMH parents. They are wonderful opportunities to connect with fellow NMH families this summer, to ask questions, and to plug into your local NMH parent community before the school year begins.
Grades and advising comments: Grades and advising comments are now available online. Please log into NMHOnline to access this information.
