June 12, 2019 — During the academic year, the NMH farm's harvests wind up on students' plates in the dining hall.
This summer, the NMH farm staff and workjob students are offering the season's bounty to the NMH community and the general public at a weekly Friday Farmstand.
Starting Friday, June 14, the farmstand will be open from noon through 5 pm, selling fresh produce grown with love and care, along with eggs from pastured laying hens, bacon and sausage from the farm's pigs, ice cream, maple goodies, and more.
The June 14 farmstand will offer:
- The first strawberries of the season!
- Head lettuce
- Salad mix
- Broccoli florets
- Bok choi
- Cilantro/herb bunches
Later in the season, the farmstand expects to offer:
- Cut flowers
- Summer squash and zucchini
- and more!
The NMH farm is located on the eastern edge of the campus along Mount Hermon Road.
