May 18, 2019 — One week from now, the Class of 2019 will be no longer students, but alumni, of Northfield Mount Hermon. A whirlwind of activity leads up to Commencement day, with final exams to take, followed by a variety of awards ceremonies, class activities, and other celebrations.
The main event — NMH’s 136th Commencement exercises — will take place at 11 am on Sunday, May 26. It will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.
Tiffani Brown ’96, a global business executive, storyteller, intrepid traveler, and current Northfield Mount Hermon trustee, will give the Commencement address. As global head of strategic initiatives for Wavemaker, one of GroupM’s agencies, she develops strategies for clients that range from Fortune 100 companies to the new generation of social-media influencers.
JD Pruett was chosen as “senior orator,” and will address the audience on behalf of the Class of 2019.
Among the nearly 180 students expected to receive diplomas are class valedictorian Cheaheon Ian Lim and salutatorian, Cora Barrett.
