Boys’ Basketball Alums: From NMH to the NCAA, and TV

When you tune into an NCAA basketball game this season, don’t be surprised if you see NMH graduates on the court. In fact, NMH boys’ basketball alumni will appear on televised and/or livestreamed games 296 times during the NCAA regular season!

NMH boys basketball alumni are currently playing and studying at Stanford University, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania (3 NMH alumni), University of North Carolina, Bowdoin College, Bucknell University, Fairfield University, Elon University, Northeastern University, Trinity College, Colgate University, Dartmouth College, Tufts University, UNC–Wilmington, Northwestern University (2), Brown University (3), Northwestern University, Davidson College, Princeton University, and the University of Notre Dame.

“There is no other school in the country that can even approach that matriculation list, and no other school has that many alumni who will appear in NCAA games streamed and/or on TV,” notes John Carroll, NMH assistant athletics director and head coach of boys’ varsity basketball.

And not only will many games feature one or more NMH alumni players, but those who’ve been through the NMH basketball program will face one another 51 times this NCAA Division I season.

The NMH boys' basketball team plays in the prestigious New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) AAA, considered the premier prep conference in the nation. Over the past 10 years, NMH has sent more than 50 players to Division I college programs and others have gone on to great collegiate careers at Division II and Division III levels.
