The NEPSTA Division 1 championship was earned through a true team effort. From Richard Sturtevant leading the way after being out for the past three weeks, to our 2-5 runners (Ryan Heskin, Leo Yang, Owa Hughes, Louis Salz) all with PRs on the day. Our manager Ngone Fall saved the day by urging us to challenge Richard's photo finish. Our guys outside of the top 5 on the day all played a critical role as well throughout the season. The team as a whole won this championship. Congratulations, champions!

Athlete of the Week: Louis Gazo '19
Louis Gazo '19 (Colchester, VT)
Boys' Varsity Soccer

Nov. 5th, 2018

Louis, a two-year captain and three-year member of the NMH varsity boys' soccer team, had a strong week. He helped lead the team to two shutout victories this week over Suffield and Cushing (the team's eighth and ninth shutouts on the season). Louis also learned that he has been selected to play in the 8th Annual Boys High School All-American Game on December 1st in Orlando, Florida. This honor recognizes Louis as one of the top seniors in the country. He is the first NMH player to be selected for this game.

Athlete of the Week: Bekah Keator '19
Bekah Keator '19 (Gill, MA)
Girls' JV Soccer

Oct. 29th, 2018

Bekah Keator has been a rock for our defense for the past two years. Her goal kicks and corners are better and more consistent than any other player I have seen at our level. Bekah has a strong leadership role on our team and never gives up on a play. With her kicks, she helps us score goals when she can, but mostly Bekah sweeps back and forth across our defense to clear balls wide and away from oncoming pressure. We are a better team for her skill, composure and athleticism.

Athlete of the Week: Kaitlin Broda '19
Kaitlin Broda '19 (Simsbury, CT)
Varsity Field Hockey
Oct. 22, 2018

Kaitlin had a total of 40 saves on 47 shots over two games, making her save percentage on the week .851. Very impressive! She anchored her defense and kept her team in the game and competitive against both Cushing and Andover.

Maya has made stellar contributions to her team through her passing (leading the team in passing in almost every game), her hitting, her serving, her coverage, and her focused, tenacious play. She played an outstanding game against Andover.
