SUSTAINABILITY OFFICE
Housed in the Center for Learning Through Action in Social Hall, the NMH sustainability office is the hub of strategic initiatives coordinated by Sustainability Director Becca Malloy.
LEED CERTIFICATION
Both the Rhodes Arts Center (2009) and Bolger House (2011) have achieved the high sustainability standard of gold LEED certification.

Wastewater Treatment
Not even our waste goes to waste. Every drain on campus empties into waste-treatment lagoons on the edge of campus, where biological molecules are broken down and accumulate. These "biosolids" are then turned into nutrient-rich soil by Resource Management, Inc. (RMI), owned by NMH alumna Shelagh Connelly ’82.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION
NMH has an electric vehicle (EV) charging station for use by community members and campus visitors. This project was made possible by the generosity of a trustee and through incentive programs offered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The charging station is located in the Alumni Hall parking lot and can charge two electric vehicles at the same time. Use of the EV charging station requires a ChargePoint credit card or a major credit card with a smart chip or you may use the ChargePoint App. Please contact plant facilities with questions.
COMMUNITY EFFORTS
NMH hosts a 2.7MW solar array owned and operated by Kearsarge Energy.
The town of Gill is a Massachusetts Green Community.
