Commencement is one of the most special events of the year at NMH, when we celebrate our graduating seniors for all they’ve accomplished and contributed and cheer them on as they move on to their next adventures.
Commencement Weekend Events
Friday, May 22
Recognition Assembly: 1:30 pm, Memorial Chapel. Faculty and staff join the Class of 2026 and their families for the graduate awards ceremony and salutatory address. Families are welcome, but not expected, to attend.
Recognition Assembly Livestream Recognition Program
Photo opportunity: 5:30-6:30 pm, outside of Memorial Chapel. Class of 2026 families are invited to take photos of their students on campus prior to the Chateau dance.
Saturday, May 23
Baccalaureate: 5 pm, Memorial Chapel. Members of the Class of 2026 and their guests join the faculty for reflection, song, and the valedictory address. The community honors retiring teachers. Families are welcome, but not expected, to attend.
Baccalaureate Livestream Bacalaureate Program
Commencement eve dinner: 6:30-7:30 pm, Alumni Hall and tent. Join the Class of 2026, their family, and NMH faculty for a Commencement eve celebration.
Dessert reception: 7:30–8:30 pm, Ford Cottage (weather permitting)
Sunday, May 24
143nd Northfield Mount Hermon Commencement: 11 am, tent at Thorndike Field. Please be sure to register all guests. Diplomas are awarded to the Class of 2026.
Commencement Livestream Commencement Program
Commencement lunch: 1 pm. Students, their families, and guests are welcome to enjoy a celebratory lunch in Alumni Hall and the Memorial Grove tent.
