Self-Care for Parents

with Kate Hayes ’06
Friday, Jan. 9, 2026  |  noon–1 pm (EST)

Parenting is beautiful, messy, and sometimes just plain a lot. That’s why we’re carving out an hour together to slow down, breathe, and talk about what it really means to care for ourselves while we care for our families.

Grounded in NMH’s mission of learning through the head, heart, and hand, this workshop will invite parents to reflect on how self-care can support all three:

Head - Practical strategies to ease stress and stay organized
Heart - Emotional tools to reconnect with yourself and your loved ones
Hand - Simple, actionable practices you can bring into daily life

Join us for a relaxed, supportive Zoom session where you’ll leave with fresh ideas, renewed energy, and the reminder that you’re not in this alone.

Kate Hayes ‘06 is a therapist, executive coach, community builder, and mom who is passionate about supporting parents and caregivers in finding balance, resilience, and joy. With a background in purpose, wellness, and community-building, Kate blends evidence-based tools with a warm, human-centered approach to help people care for themselves while caring for others.
