Each of us has a song within us, and there are many ways to express it. We can use our voices or a physical instrument, and we can create it alone or with others. NMH is a place where you can sing in B#, rap on bongos, blow in bagpipes, begin with music basics, or perform as a professional before leaving high school. Learn how we can help you to sing your song.

Debate and the Importance of Voice, with Peter Weis and Jared Eberlein

Flo Auerbach ’20 won the world championship in interpretive reading. How did she do it and how did her voice expression add to her success? Peter Weis, faculty leader of the debate program, will share Flo’s reading — and secrets to success — with you. Then, Theater Program Director Jared Eberlein will demonstrate skills that can help students strengthen their voices and presence whether on the stage, for a debate, or in the classroom.
