Spanish Language Immersion Program
An NMH Expedition from Madrid to the Sea

NMH is partnering with GOGI Abroad to organize a Spanish-language immersion program based in Cádiz, Spain.
This two-week program will allow students to advance their Spanish-language skills in an immersive environment where they will interact meaningfully with local people and cultural events. Students will live with host families, participate in daily language classes in Cádiz, explore historical sites, and engage in a variety of cultural activities.
We will begin in Spain’s capital, Madrid, spending the first two days exploring neighborhoods; cultural sites like Retiro Park, Puerta del Sol, and Gran Vía; and tapas-tasting.
Students will then travel to Cádiz, one of Europe’s oldest port cities, where they will live with trusted Spanish host families, many of whom have welcomed GOGI students for over a decade. These deeply rooted homestays offer more than just lodging; they create lasting connections and authentic windows into Spanish daily life.
Students will take Spanish language and culture classes at K2 Internacional, GOGI Abroad’s longtime partner school. Upon completion, participants will receive a Spanish Language and Culture Certificate, affirming their growth and engagement.
During the latter half of the program, students will take a day trip to the vibrant city of Seville, where centuries of Islamic, Jewish, and Christian influences converge in breathtaking architecture, flamenco rhythms, and Andalusian hospitality.
