Summer Session Tuition and Financial Aid

On-campus Program Tuition:

Five-week program: boarding $9,300/ESOL $9,700; day $3,950

Three-week program: boarding $5,600/ ESOL $5,800; day $2,400 

Tuition covers major course(s), afternoon minor course (with the exception of SAT/SSAT courses), sports, on-campus activities and social events, educational field trips, airport pick-up (July 1) and drop-off (July 22 or Aug. 5), laundry, T-shirt, and water bottle.

Additional fees: 

  • All students are required to pay a student activities fee of $250 (5-weeks)/ $150 (3-weeks)

  • All students will need to purchase their own textbooks. Book costs vary from a few dollars to $200, depending on the course.

  • All students must pay a health service fee of $150 for COVID testing and protective masks.

  • All international families are required to purchase the NMH health insurance. Cost is approximately $270 and will be confirmed in your acceptance information. U.S. families must provide proof of health insurance to waive this fee.

Five-week Virtual Math Academy: $3,500

Five-week English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): $2,750

Three-week English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL):$1,650

Three-week Journalism course: $1,650

SAT, Five-week Program:
Four days a week: $950 (math and English)
Two days a week: $475 (math or English)

SAT, Three-week Program, math and English: 
Four days per week: $575

SSAT, math and English, four days a week: 
Five-week program: $950
Three-week program: $575

LEAD (Leadership, Education, Adventure & Discovery) outdoor leadership course: Five-week: $995/ Three-week $650

College Counseling 101: Five-week only $500

Make! Design Lab: Five-week $750 or three-week $500

 

Deposits are due within two weeks of acceptance. Remaining balance is due by May 1, 2023.

NOTE: For late acceptances, after April 15, please refer to the deadlines specified in the acceptance letter.

An application fee of $75 is required for all new applications. Repeat Summer Session applications or current/accepted NMH students do not need to pay the application fee.

 

Financial Aid

Northfield Mount Hermon has a long tradition of offering educational opportunities to students of all socio-economic backgrounds. Anyone may apply, although the majority of financial aid is reserved for U.S. citizens. 

Financial aid is granted for tuition only and does not cover the cost of incidentals, travel, books, or optional courses, such as SAT/SSAT prep courses. Financial aid is based on demonstrated need as well as the student’s academic drive and performance. For more detailed requirements, please refer to the financial aid application form.

Refund Policy

If you withdraw after enrollment but before June 1, 2023, you will receive a refund of all fees paid, minus the application fee and the enrollment deposit. No refunds will be issued for withdrawal after June 1, 2023. Read the full refund policy.
