Summer Campus Life

At NMH’s Summer Session, it’s not all about academics.

One of the most exciting things about coming to Summer Session is the opportunity to meet new people from around the world and create lifelong friendships.

Your dorm will be your home away from home for the summer — a place to relax, study, and meet new friends. All our dorms are close to the center of campus, so you'll be near your classrooms, the student center, and the dining hall.

Each dorm has an experienced dorm head and several residential teaching interns, one of whom will be your advisor. Advisors are your first point of contact if you have any questions or problems, whether you need help with work or connecting to the Wi-Fi, if you’re feeling homesick, or you just need someone to talk to. Advisors teach, coach, and live with students 24/7, so you’ll get to know them well.

Our campus is set in the beautiful countryside of western Massachusetts. We even have a farm, where we grow our own fruit and vegetables and care for a number of livestock including horses, pigs, chickens and cattle.

During your free time, you’ll take part in an extensive student activities program, with off-campus trips on Wednesday afternoons and weekends to local tourist attractions such as beaches, aquariums, miniature golf, karting, and visits to nearby towns. On campus, we host movie nights, dances, theatrical and dance performances, hikes, cooking classes, and many other fun activities.

My advisor was super kind and helpful. She always made time to help me and my advisory and was there for me when I needed her. She looked out for the wellbeing of the girls in my advisory and in the dorm in an engaged but not over-involved way.
