Environmental science explores the systems that govern Earth’s natural processes, and the relationships that human beings have with these systems.
NMH offers two courses in environmental studies that are a great option for students who have a strong interest in sustainability and wise use of resources, but do not need laboratory credit or want to take the AP exam. Students who require lab credit for their work in these studies should choose from Geology, The Science of Farming, or AP Environmental Science. The AP course in environmental science requires a written application and department approval, and is not recommended for students who have already taken Environmental Studies.
For more information, and to see course descriptions, see the environmental science section of the Curriculum Guide.
