Athletics Curriculum
NMH fosters excellence on and off the field, court, rink, river, track, barre, and trail.
At NMH, every afternoon you'll have the opportunity to transfer your dedication and determination from the classroom to the sports of your choice, along the way learning valuable lessons about sportsmanship and leadership that you can apply to other areas of life, at NMH and beyond.
We offer one of the broadest high school athletics programs in the country, with 67 interscholastic teams, 19 varsity sports, and extensive outdoor and dance programs. Our teams regularly win championships, and many of our graduates go on to play in NCAA collegiate athletics.
There’s a place for everyone in our athletics program, from varsity teams to intramurals. In our outdoor program, you can mountain bike, ice skate, go rock-climbing or canoeing. Options in our physical education program range from yoga to fitness training. Dance classes also help you meet our physical education and athletics requirements.
Our College-Model Academic Program, or CMAP, will give you the time to participate in sports without sacrificing your studies and other interests — allowing you to become an accomplished athlete as well as a leader in the classroom, the dorm, the arts, and beyond.
