Fall Play

Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare

"If music be the food of love, play on!"  Shakespeare's comedy is brought to life on the Mediterranean coast of the 1950's, where "what happens in Illyria might not stay in Illyria."  Separated from her twin brother in a shipwreck and washed ashore in an unfamiliar land, the spirited Viola disguises herself as a man to work for charming Duke Orsino—and finds herself in the middle of a love triangle of hilarious mistaken identities. Filled with witty commentary on gender, class, and sexuality, this sparkling romance brims with heart and revels in the intoxicating power of love.

Fall Dance Concert

POWER & POWERLESSNESS

Join us for an evocative evening of movement and storytelling as our concert explores the intricate dynamics of power and powerlessness through the art of dance. This evening of original work features innovative pieces by two esteemed faculty members, ten talented student choreographers, and a beloved guest artist, each bringing their unique voice and perspective to this compelling theme inspired by the NMH Humanities program. The concert will weave together a rich tapestry of styles, including pieces based in the following styles: Contemporary Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, K-pop, Modern, Musical Theater, and a Navajo/Hip-Hop fusion. Each piece serves as a narrative, delving into the contrasting forces that shape our experiences—whether it’s the empowering rise of the individual or the quiet struggles of feeling overshadowed.
