Northfield Mount Hermon School (NMH) seeks experienced and dynamic individuals to join the professional advancement team for a five-year, multi-million dollar capital campaign, currently in the quiet phase.

These positions will be staffed with people working closely with the chief advancement officer, the head of school, and the advancement management team to execute a comprehensive campaign. This includes the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects who can offer philanthropic support for the most ambitious campaign in the history of the school.

Campaign Assistant - Part Time

Northfield Mount Hermon seeks a dynamic self starter to provide administrative support to the office of Major Gifts and Campaign Operations on a part time basis.

The Major Gifts and Campaign Operations office is a high-energy, fast-paced, collaborative environment whose mission is to engage alumni, parents and friends to help strengthen the school through their philanthropic support.

The campaign assistant will work closely with all members of the Major Gifts and Campaign Operations team, coordinating a comprehensive portfolio of Advancement events, and providing general program and administrative support for the team.

The successful applicant will have an Associate’s degree or combination of education and experience and at least 3-5 years administrative and program management and/or support experience. Candidates should be positive, ambitious, organized and energetic. This position requires discretion and professionalism in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

The ideal candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, able to work on multiple projects, creative and flexible. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google products preferred and experience with Raiser’s Edge or comparable fundraising software is highly desired.

Additional qualifications include the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently. Some weekend and evening work required.

Campaign Officer

The NMH Advancement Office is looking for a seasoned fundraising professional. The person in this position is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects capable of making gifts in the $100,000 - $1,000,000+ range to support the NMH campaign, currently in its quiet phase. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this position manages prospects in different geographic regions and works as a member of a team of campaign officers and managers to raise major campaign gifts for Northfield Mount Hermon School.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and at least 10 years of development experience, including face to face solicitation of prospects; experience with capital campaigns preferred. Candidates must have outstanding organizational, technical, oral and written communication skills.The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to create and sustain good relationships with donors, staff, faculty, and volunteers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google products preferred and experience with Raiser’s Edge or comparable fundraising software is highly desired. Additional qualifications include the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently. Some weekend and evening work required, as well as a willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Valid driver’s license required.

Advancement Data Analyst

The Advancement office at Northfield Mount Hermon is looking to fill a campaign position that will work with the Director of Advancement Strategy and Analysis to define, design, and build reporting that will enhance Advancement management and decision making. The person in this roll will be responsible for the timely preparation of all mailing, email, and other lists. This person will also be responsible for building, testing, and sending all bulk emails. In all situations, the Advancement Data Analyst will work closely with the Senior Associate Director of Advancement Services to ensure consistency and quality of work.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree or higher; at least 2 years of data analysis experience, preferably in a fundraising environment and at least 2 years experience with data analysis tools, including significant experience writing SQL select statements. Candidates must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to formulate data queries and utilize on-line print and other resources to gather information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google products preferred and experience with Raiser’s Edge, Crystal Reports, HTML and CSS is preferable. Additional qualifications include the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently.
