At Northfield Mount Hermon, we adhere to a set of community norms to support meaningful, productive conversations. These norms, which reflect our school’s larger values and our mission, call for respectful discourse that recognizes the dignity and value of others and that promotes a culture of care and belonging.
These norms also apply to our Northfield Mount Hermon social media profiles, where we share news about and celebrate our students, faculty, alums, and larger community. We welcome followers to join in the conversation and expect them to adhere to our community norms for respectful, productive conversation.
We reserve the right to hide or delete any comments or posts that we believe, in our sole discretion, violate these norms, including but not limited to comments that are obscene, threatening, defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory; that are repetitive or irrelevant to the page or post content; that violate an individual’s privacy; that contain copyrighted or trademarked material; or that negatively target specific individuals. We will also remove any comments or posts that amount to commercial solicitation, spam, or violations of the law or of school policy. Posters who violate NMH’s social media norms may be blocked.
