Northfield Mount Hermon celebrated the academic achievements and dedication of 21 seniors during the morning meeting at Memorial Chapel on March 30, when the 2026 spring inductees to the Cum Laude Society were announced.

They join 16 of their classmates who were named to the society in the fall. Together, these seniors represent the top 20% of the Class of 2026.

"As a group, their collective achievement is incredibly meaningful," said Joe Latimer, NMH's director of college counseling and president of the NMH chapter of Cum Laude. "It underscores a culture of support, perseverance, and shared ambition, where students push one another gently to succeed at the very highest level. They exemplify what is possible when talent is matched with hard work, and their accomplishments set a strong example for those NMH students who follow in their footsteps."

The 37 inductees from the fall and spring will be formally welcomed into the Cum Laude Society on April 12 at an induction ceremony. Students will receive a certificate and pin and will add their names to the official membership list of the NMH chapter of Cum Laude, which began in 1929.

Spring inductee Wilder Pritham '26 said she appreciated the way Cum Laude acknowledges students on a holistic level.

"It feels really rewarding to know that you're being recognized for something other than just your grades, but for your hard work and everything that you put into being at NMH," Pritham said.
