Congratulations to our NMH Athlete of the Week for the week of 5/2-5/8!
From Girls Varsity Ultimate:
Clara Shin '23
Clara is the junior captain of the Girl's Varsity Ultimate Frisbee team this year, and has performed exceptionally all season long. She had a particularly strong showing at this weekend's Amherst Invitational tournament by keeping "chilly" and maintaining a strong presence both on offense and defense. In particular, she led the team through an extremely difficult upwind point which helped us win the last game of the tournament and secure 5th place overall. Clara is constantly supporting her teammates on and off the field – she has 13 assists throughout the season, and continues to bring a positive spirit on the sideline. Not only that, but she brings her singing talents to our celebratory songs at the end of each game! In addition, her work on defense as a wing player, with 16 blocks throughout the season and 5 in a single game, gave our team the turnovers needed to win.
As an experienced handler, Clara will continue to be a leader on our team next year as well. Congratulations!
