Craig Hefner has been at Northfield Mount Hermon since 1985. He coaches girls ultimate frisbee (Craig created the girls team in 2005) and girls JV soccer. In previous years, he has coached boys varsity and JV ice hockey, boys JV soccer, and the mountain biking club team. He played ice hockey in high school and in college at Michigan State University (MSU), where he also played ultimate Frisbee. Hefner holds a bachelor’s degree from MSU and a master’s from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. At NMH, Craig teaches science (genetics and ethics, human physiology), works with the task force for sustainability, and is an avid cyclist (mountain biking and road biking) and hockey player. He is married to Mary Hefner, who is also a science teacher and coach at NMH. They have three children, all of whom are NMH graduates.
