Boys Soccer at NMH

The nationally recognized NMH boys’ varsity soccer program is one of the most exciting teams in New England. The team’s diversity is its core strength, with domestic and international students blending to play a beautiful brand of attacking soccer, anchored by a team commitment to defense.

The Hoggers regularly make deep runs into the prestigious New England Class Tournament and have secured 10 trips to the finals while delivering a record-setting seven Class A Championships, the most recent in 2021.

Since 1970, NMH boys’ soccer has been led by just four coaches, providing the foundation for consistent success.  Since the inception of the New England Prep Class A soccer tournament 40 years ago, NMH has advanced to the semifinals or beyond 15 times, winning a record seven New England Prep Class A championships (in 1981, 1983, 1984, 1997, 2006, 2010, and 2021).

More important than the program's championships is the team’s consistent and unwavering commitment to sportsmanship and deep respect and appreciation for embracing players from diverse backgrounds. The program engages in community service in Franklin County, and players serve as student leaders in all areas of school life.

In recent years, NMH players have gone on to play soccer at Babson, Bates, Bentley, Boston College, Cornell, Boston University, Bowdoin, Brandeis, Brandeis University, Case Western, Colgate, Columbia, the College of Holy Cross, Connecticut College, Dickinson, Emerson, Gettysburg, Harvard, Hobart, Kenyon College, Loyola Marymount, Messiah, Occidental, Providence, the Naval Academy, Northwestern, Pitzer, Princeton, the University of Rochester, Virginia Commonwealth University, Skidmore, St. Lawrence, St. Olaf’s, Swarthmore, Tufts, UConn, the University of Vermont, Wheaton, Williams, and Yale. The Hoggers currently have players competing in the ACC, Big Ten, Liberty League, NESCAC, Patriot League, Centennial, University Athletic Association, West Coast Conference, and Ivy League.
