- Asian American Students Association (AASA)
- CSA (Chinese Student Association) is mostly made up of NMH Chinese students from Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan. An important goal of the CSA is to arrange activities and events as well as to celebrate important Chinese festivals. Because this group’s members are minorities who experience a different and challenging social environment here at NMH, the CSA aims to provide a basis for mutual support and the friendly exchange of information and assistance. Additionally, the members of the CSA actively work to share their culture with other members of the NMH community; this work is intended to increase diversity and to enrich the cultural and community life of this school.
- Circle of Sisters (COC) promotes the intellectual, social, professional, spiritual, and physical growth of women of African American, Hispanic, and Caribbean descent. This organization strives to cultivate a deep bond of sisterhood and provide an accurate and positive portrayal of minorities on this campus. The group organizes events such as fundraisers and public services.
- FRomage (Francophone Organization for More Awareness of Global Equality) is an affinity group whose main goal is to explore and discuss cultures, issues, and interests related to the French-speaking world through events and activities for the community. The group is open to all.
- Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) is a group that seeks to build a safe and nurturing environment for gays, lesbians, and bisexual students by organizing various efforts that promote community awareness. This group also provides support to students who may be questioning or struggling with sexuality.
- International Students Association (ISA) provides support for international students and helps the entire student body become more aware of different cultures. The group creates displays and organizes assemblies, association meetings, and social events. A student advisory committee made of international and domestic students organizes activities. All students (international or not) are encouraged to join.
- The Brothers is focused on developing leadership, solidarity, and support networks for male students of color.
- Spanish and Latino/a Students Association (SaLSA) is very active in gaining and promoting awareness of Latino/a and Hispanic cultures. Students gather regularly to share personal stories and take on issues that they may face as individuals and a community. They also organize social events that are representative of the diverse cultures within the Latino/a communities.
- WERC (Whites Examining Racism and Culture) is an antiracist group that emerged from the 2002 NMH Diversity Summit with a specific objective to understand the racial and cultural identities of white Euro-Americans in the context of race relations in the U.S. Students seek to understand and address racism with the focus on whites taking ownership for building an antiracist community and society.
