Eleven students will team up to play a single narrator in Shipwrecked! An Entertainment – The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told by Himself), a play that mixes the adventure of Robinson Caruso with the humor of Gilligan's Island.
Performances will be April 22 at 8 pm and April 24 at both 7 and 9:30 pm in the Rhodes Arts Center theater.
Shipwrecked! is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted for a cause yet to be determined. To reserve your tickets, email Will Baker at

Originally designed as a piece for three actors, Donald Margulies’ play has been reinterpreted by NMH students into a fresh, new ensemble piece. Director Will Baker ’10 said that “the whole point is to get the audience in a show that tells a story, and keeps them on the edge of their seats.”
The students, who range from sophomores to seniors, step into the role of narrator Louis de Rougemont, an old man returned to his native England. Rougemont recounts a string of amusing and hair-raising adventures, including the disaster of the title, which will captivate his audience – even if the foundation of his tales ultimately lies in more fantasy than reality.
Performing as Louis DeRougemont: Tassos Barreiss '10, Jane Booth '12, Dan Discenza '11, Caitlin Rose Duffy '11, Chelsea Fardelman '10, Daniel Hay-Mack '12, Everett Irving '10, Oona Kilcommons '12, Ezra Leslie '10, Levi Newbury '11, and Ivy Santos '10. Oliver Brown ’11 is in charge of lighting design and costumes are by Everett Irving and Hanna Rosenberg.
