NMH outdoor team
If you like the outdoors, you’ve come to the right place. NMH offers courses designed for maximum adventure outside. Try mountain biking or recreational cycling and you’ll take off to explore trails around the Pioneer Valley or on campus—you’ll even learn to make repairs to your bike, should you need to. In winter, you can ski downhill or try cross-country skiing. Our snowy woods are a classroom when you learn how to read a map and compass to find your way. You’ll also learn how to build a snow shelter and cook safely, practice outdoor hygiene and leave-no-trace camping, and gain an appreciation for the natural world.
Students taking an outdoor education class receive a physical education and a minor course credit.
