September 20—A warm welcome awaits you when you arrive at Madrid’s Barajas Airport, where you will be whisked away for a panoramic tour of ancient monuments and modern architecture while en route to the Tryp Ambassador Hotel.

September 21—Explore Madrid and the extravagantly impressive Royal Palace, official residence of Spanish kings, first occupied in 1714. Stroll galleries that hold the collections of Goya, Valazquex, El Greco, and Murillo paintings.

September 22—Today, you will step back in time as you tour Toledo, surrounded by monumental walls, the entire city is one large museum.

September 23—Discover El Escorial at the foot of Mt. Abantos, where King Philip II built a royal palace to commemorate the 1557 Spanish victory against the King of France. It is the final resting place for most Spanish kings of the last five centuries.

September 24—This morning you will board the Atacha railway to Seville, the city with a romantic past. Relax as the arid Spanish landscape passes you by. When you arrive at the Hotel Becquer a lovely evening of dining with a Flamenco exhibition.

September 25— Today, you will explore the magnificent Cathedral of Seville, the lavish tomb of Christopher Columbus, the Alcazar, and the old Barrio Santa Cruz.

September 26—Walk through the pages of history today as you drive through the whitewashed villages of Andalucia where an olive oil tasting awaits you.

September 27—The adventure continues as you explore Cordoba, the lively town of flamenco and bullfighting. The evening is yours to view the sunset over the Alhambra, enjoy tea and honey cakes or wander the Albaicin District.

September 28— Discover Alhambra with its unique ensemble of Islamic architecture and an earthbound dream of paradise surrounded by magnificent gardens. End the day at the former Araab souk, the Alcaiceria, a bustling bazaar of handmade crafts.

September 29—Say goodbye to friends old and new as you transfer to the Granada Airport for your journey back home.
