Dancing Out Loud at NMH
GILL, MA—The Dance Companies of Northfield Mount Hermon School offer Interviews: Dancing Out Loud Nov. 9 through Nov. 11. Works include Autopilot, a modern dance piece choreographed by new dance faculty member Amanda Chapin; Shaken in the Snowglobe for Two, a duet choreographed by Carla Cevasco ’07; and Fedora, choreographed by Interim Dance Director Laurel Salvi in collaboration with Senior Company dancers. Fedora features the music of electric cellist Gideon Freudmann and playfully weaves together the cool flirtations of jazz with the earthiness of modern dance. The entire cast of the Senior Dance Company dances in their fedora hats, rhythmically expressing their individuality, as well as their strong group connection.
Performances will take place Nov. 9 at 7pm, Nov. 10 at 7:30 pm, and Nov. 11 at 7pm in Grandin Auditorium on the Mount Hermon campus. Tickets are $2 for students and $5 for the general audience. Seating is limited, and concerts frequently sell out. Tickets can be reserved by calling 413-498-3017.
For directions, go to www.nmhschool.org or call 413-498-3000.
