New England Singers Bring
a Little Winter to LA

GILL, MA—Don’t be surprised if you notice snow flurries in town this week. Or old steel buckets tapping the sap of palm trees. It’s only that New England performers are in Los Angeles singing at the Jazz Bakery Tuesday night.

Students from Northfield Mount Hermon School, a boarding and day high school in Gill, Massachusetts, (where there is still crusty snow on the ground and sugarers are firing up the boilers making vats of maple syrup) will be serenading alumni and guests with intricate harmonies and a cappella favorites. Fresh from gigs at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco and Disneyland in Anaheim, the NMH Singers and the Select Women’s Ensemble will bring their sweet sound to LA. Reporters are invited to review the event.

NMH will complete its $29 million Rhodes Center for the Arts this fall and is the premier New England boarding school for the arts. NMH singers will perform from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at the Jazz Bakery, 3233 Helms Ave., Culver City, on March 6. This is a private event, but we welcome reporters to attend.
