Joseph Ellis to Speak at NMH History Teacher Symposium

GILL, MA—Pulitzer Prize winning author Joseph Ellis will speak at a symposium for high school history teachers at Northfield Mount Hermon School April 6.

Called Reading and Writing about History, the one-day symposium will be devoted to reading history, both how teachers instruct students to read it and what they read with them. It will also examine how to teach students to be good writers of history.

Keynote speaker Joseph Ellis, professor of history at Mount Holyoke College and Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Founding Brothers, among other best-selling works, will address the symposium in the afternoon.
