NMH Theatre Department Presents
Play It Again, Sam

NORTHFIELD, Mass.—He never said it.

As legions of movie buffs are wont to point out, what Humphrey Bogart actually says in Casablanca is “Play it once, Sam” and then later “You played it for her, you can play it for me!” But literary accuracy notwithstanding, Woody Allen titled his famed play Play It Again, Sam, which the Northfield Mount Hermon School Theatre Department will be offering for its spring production.

In this comedy, neurotic writer Allan Felix has just gone through an unexpected divorce. He seeks the help of his best friends to get back into the dating game, and also gets unsolicited coaching from the spirit of Bogart, his movie idol.

The cast consists of Harry Poster '07, Trevor Clarke '05, Ali Cherkis '05,
Amanda Kusek '06, Clementine Amidon '06, Katie Saunders '07,
Kelsie Leonard '07, Angel Liu '06, Kate Hayes '06, Ryn Flynn '06, and
Siti Kafrawi '05. The play is directed by NMH Performing Arts Director
David Rowland with Assistant Director Meredith Pamp '07.

The show runs on May 27 and June 3 and 4th at the Silverthorne Theatre on the school’s Northfield campus. Showtime is 7:30 pm. Tickets are $2 and all are welcome. For reservations, please e-mail David Rowland at david_rowland@nmhschool.org.
