Fitts Awarded NMH Alumni Citation
NORTHFIELD, Mass.— Richard S. Fitts of Framingham, MA received the
Northfield Mount Hermon School Alumni Citation award at the
school’s recent alumni weekend festivities. The award recognizes
outstanding volunteers to NMH and the school’s Alumni
Association.
Fitts, a member of the class of 1955, has been a multiyear class
caller, reunion planner, gift chair, and member of the Alumni
Council, milking his seemingly indefatigable skill in conveying
his enthusiasm for NMH to current and potential members of the
NMH community. He and wife Sharon have long hosted gatherings in
their home for new students and alumni, and regularly
house participants for the Boston Christmas Vespers. Fitts
recently cochaired the fundraising activities for his class’s
50th-reunion gift.
Retired after 35 years as an employee benefits consultant, Fitts
lives in Framingham during the summer and in Sebring, Florida
during the winter.
