Sweet Honey in the Rock Alum Harris at NMH

NORTHFIELD, Mass—On Sunday, January 23, the Northfield Mount Hermon Music Department will be offering a choral workshop in jazz improvisation. Featured that afternoon will be Evelyn Harris, a former singer from the a cappella female gospel group, Sweet Honey in the Rock. Harris will help participants learn how to sing jazz improv as well as to sing from their souls.

The workshop will take place in the music building on the Mount Hermon campus, and runs from 2 to 5 pm. It’s free and open to the public. For more information, please call 413-498-3281.
