Northfield Mount Hermon Presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream

NORTHFIELD , Mass. — Northfield Mount Hermon School presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Friday, May 28; Friday, June 4; and Saturday, June 5. All performances will start at 7:30 pm and be held in Stone Hall’s Silverthorne Theatre on the Northfield campus.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a classic comedy of love gone wrong and true love restored, with magic potions, mistaken identities, and a sprite named Puck. NMH theatre director David Rowland occasionally mixes Elizabethan and 1950’s sensibilities to emphasize the play’s timelessness. The cast includes students from ninth graders through seniors.

The middle section of the play will take place outdoors, so audience members are asked to bring blankets or chairs.

Tickets are $2 for NMH students, faculty, and all children under 12, and $5 for everyone else. Reservations are recommended, and may be made via e-mail at david_rowland@nmhschool.org. For more information, please call 413-498-3000.
