‘The Lies of Our Fathers’
NORTHFIELD , Mass. —Javed Chaudhri, an international management
consultant, will speak on “The Lies of Our Fathers” at 6:30 pm , Thursday,
January 22, in Dolben Theater, Northfield Mount Hermon School , Northfield
campus. His presentation, part of the State of the World Lecture series at
NMH, is free and open to the public.
Chaudhri’s speech will explore “the falsehoods we create in order to
justify wars. Basically, I urge our youth to open their eyes and seek the
truth. I also try to explain some of the issues and non-issues confronting
the USDA and the Third World , particularly the Islamic countries.”
Born in Pakistan , Chaudhri has traveled four continents on business. He
taught advertising and marketing to business managers and graduate
students in Pakistan , and anthropology and sociology at the Community
College of Vermont , Marlboro ( Vt. ) College, and Keene (N.H.) State
College . He currently works for Vermont Association of Business,
Industry, and Rehabilitation.
