‘The Tea Group’ Exhibit at NMH
NORTHFIELD, Mass.—A mixed media exhibit by “The Tea Group” will be on
display at Nada/Mason Gallery, Bolger Arts Center, Northfield Mount Hermon
School, January 6 through 30, 2004. The five Tea Group members have been
collaborators since their graduation from Massachusetts College of Art in
1993. They meet to discuss their work regularly and exhibit together
yearly. Hours at the gallery are Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 6 pm . A
reception will be held from 5 to 7 pm , Friday, January 23, at the
gallery.
The display includes video by Sharon La Bella-Lindale; photography by Teresa
Hernandez and Elizabeth M. Johnson; painting by Karen McEachern Cass; and
installation by Caroline Bane Rufo. Their “Tea Group” was featured in the
book, Girls’ Night Out, by Barbara Camens and Tamara Kreinin, and on a
segment of the Today show last spring. Their work was recently on exhibit
at Brandeis University .
