Homeless Candlelight Vigil

NORTHFIELD , Mass. —For the fourth year in a row, Northfield Mount Hermon students will hold a vigil in honor of people who are homeless. This year’s Homeless Candlelight Vigil begins at 3:30 pm on Sunday, February 15 at Tracy Hall, Northfield campus.
As Laura Knuttunen ’04, chair of the NMH Outreach Student Board of Directors, describes it, “Students from both campuses march to Northfield town with a large banner. The vigil is held in First Parish Unitarian Church . NMH musicians perform, students speak about their experiences and knowledge of homelessness, and people acknowledge those who have experienced homelessness.” Alex Lau ’04 and Dong-Young Kim ’06 will provide the music. Donations go to the Greenfield Family Inn.
