NMH Dance Companies will ‘Mobilize’
NORTHFIELD, Mass. —The NMH dance companies perform in concert in
“Mobilize” at 7:30 pm, February 13 and 14, and 2 pm, February 15, in
Silverthorne Theatre, Stone Hall, Northfield campus. Tickets for general
admission are $5 and may be reserved at 498-3017.
Dance teacher Laurel Salvi has choreographed a lively piece for the senior
dance company set to the Allegro from “Concerto #3 in G major” by Bach.
Dance program director Gretel Schatz has choreographed a haunting piece
with the junior dance company set to music by 3 Leg Torso, which explores
the idea of losing one’s identity. The program of modern, jazz, and funk
also highlights student choreography by Anna Bellino of South Deerfield,
Angela Santucci of Gill, Erica Smith of Hatfield, Pearl Kilpatrick of
Northampton, Jessica Barber, Hayley Cutler, and Susanna Ordway.
