‘Splitting Images’ by NMH Dancers
NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Choreography by faculty and students will highlight
“Splitting Images,” a dance concert by the senior and junior dance
companies at Northfield Mount Hermon School. Performances are scheduled
for 7:30 pm, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8, and 2 pm, Sunday, Nov. 9,
in Silverthorne Theatre, Stone Hall, on the Northfield campus. Tickets are
$5 for general admission and $2 for children and seniors, and may be
reserved by calling 413-498-3017.
“Naitram Noitam” is an other-worldly piece choreographed by faculty member
Gretel Schatz, and “The PE Shuffle” is an ’80s fitness-inspired dance
choreographed by dance faculty Laurel Salvi. The program also includes a
tap piece, modern dance pieces, and jazz dances set to music by such
artists as Cake, They Might Be Giants, Yo-Yo Ma, and Edgar Meyer.
