The NMH track and field program is one rich in tradition and success. The program has produced collegiate and Olympic champions. You’ll find NMH’s eight-lane all-weather track is one of the finest in New England, with two jumping pits, a state-of-the-art pole vault pit, and a separate discus cage. We compete in several Division I programs in New England. Our annual competition includes Andover, Choate, Deerfield, Exeter, Loomis Chaffee, and other top prep schools.
NMH has a highly experienced coaching staff. Three sprint coaches, three distance coaches, two throwing coaches, a high jump coach, a long- and triple-jump coach, a hurdle coach, and a pole vault coach will help you fine tune your performance on the field. Specialty coaches work with boys and girls together, but give you individual attention to take you to your personal best.
NMH has been a dominant force in independent school track in New England for many years. Over the last three seasons, the NMH Girls team has finished in the top three in New England twice. The Lady Hoggers return New England champions in the 100, 200, 400, HJ and New England Championships place-winners in the LJ, Javelin, and 4x100. Recent NMH standouts in the sprints, hurdles, distance, and weights have gone on to compete at the DI and DII level in college.
NMH teams are consistently made up of talented student-athletes who value an exceptional private school education and are able to compete at the highest competitive level. As a team, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship, while always striving for personal excellence through outstanding individual effort. As coaches and teachers, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of our students on and off the field.
