Northfield Mount Hermon School, an independent co-educational boarding school in western Massachusetts, seeks a dynamic individual to serve as the school’s Director of Information Technology. An international leader among college preparatory boarding schools, Northfield Mount Hermon offers forward-looking and excellent academic programs by combining the best of the traditional and the best of the innovative in education, including its application of academic technology. 

The school’s Director of Technology is responsible for the strategic and creative use and development of technology to advance and support the strategic priorities of the school. The position oversees all aspects of academic and administrative computing, user services, data communications, campus data networks, and all campus computing facilities and staff. The Director oversees the operation, development, and appropriate utilization of school-wide information systems and associated hardware and infrastructure. 

The successful applicant will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and five years experience in the information technology field, including three to five years of management and supervisory experience; a comprehensive knowledge of database architecture including SQL Server required.  Proven success in the strategic planning and development of information systems within an academic setting preferred. The Director position requires outstanding organizational, written and communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently.
