Elite Athletes

The NMH winter sports teams returned from the holiday break with a roar. With dominant performances by hockey, basketball, wrestling, alpine skiing, nordic skiing, and swimming teams, NMH teams achieved some of the best results on record.

On March 4, the effort of stand-out athletes and successes of their teams were recognized during the NMH winter athletic banquet. Banquet speaker Jacob Aduama '10, a three semester athlete, described his soccer season as "one of the best seasons I have ever played in my life." After a rocky start to JV Basketball, Aduana said "We grew rapidly into a squad that was tearing teams up, especially ones that we weren’t supposed to. We beat one varsity team and two varsity B teams all by close margins...We played with pride and left it all on the court."
