Northfield Mount Hermon seeks an energetic and knowledgeable individual to work as an intern with the director of the dance program. Responsibilities will include teaching dance (ballet, modern, jazz and hip-hop), directing the junior dance company under the guidance of the dance program director and working with a mentor to teach, collaboratively, the required ninth grade Arts Foundation course. Responsibilities also include student advising, living and doing duty in a dormitory
The ideal applicant will have a bachelor’s degree in dance, with significant background in choreography and performance. Essential qualifications include the ability to instruct a variety of techniques Applicants must possess a strong desire to work with adolescents and to become part of a dynamic performing arts department.
