Head Coach Greg Leeds came to NMH in 1996 after six years at Berkshire School in Massachusetts and three years at the Alexander Dawson School in Colorado. A boarding school teacher and coach for more than 20 years, Greg raced competitively in high school and in the NCAA Division 1 program at Williams College. He has coached skiing since 1987, and he has national certification with both the United States Ski Coaches Association and with the Professional Ski Instructors of America. He also serves as a level-3 technical delegate and referee, is co-president of the MISL, and is a professional representative for Dynastar/Lange.
At NMH, Greg’s varsity and JV teams have captured two New England championship titles and eight league championship titles since 1997. During his tenure at Berkshire, his teams recorded a 101-5 record in interscholastic competition and won their league title all six years. In 2005, Greg was presented with the school’s Housen Coaching Award as the NMH Coach of the Year. During the 2006-07 season, Greg was on sabbatical in Breckenridge, CO, where he coached for a local race club and taught with the Breckenridge Ski School. He was invited to join the US Ski Team for several days of early season training and observed athletes and coaches in action while he assisted the coaching staff. In addition to directing the ski program, Greg is the director of NMH Summer Session. He also teaches mathematics, coaches soccer, and lives near campus with his wife and three children.
