Head Coach

Director of Athletics Tom Pratt has 23 years of coaching experience at the collegiate, prep and youth levels.

Pratt is looking forward to his 5th season as the Boys Varsity Coach and building on the rapid improvement of the Hoggers over his first four years at the helm, as his team went from two wins in year one to the New England Championship game in year three. Over the last two seasons, the Hoggers have a record of 42-20-5

A collegiate player at Bowling Green under legendary coach Jerry York, Pratt was a draft choice of the Calgary Flames. He went on to win two International League Championships as a professional player while under contract to Calgary and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was also a member of the Los Angeles Kings organization during his professional career.

Pratt returned to Bowling Green as York's graduate assistant coach and then moved on to be the head coach at Division III New England College in Henniker, NH, for five years. While at NEC, Pratt oversaw the construction of the school's first on-campus ice arena and also served as the assistant director of athletics.

Pratt has coached many youth level teams, from mites through the junior ranks and has spent time as a USA Hockey clinician and evaluator for regional and national age group select teams.

Pratt is looking forward to his 5th season as the Boys Varsity Coach and building on the rapid improvement of the Hoggers over his first three years at the helm, as his team went from two wins in year one to the New England Championship game in year three.

He lives on campus with his wife Linda and sons Kevin (NMH '10, Boston College '14) and Derek (NMH '13).

Coach Wags joined the NMH community in 2008 as an Admission Director and assistant boys hockey coach after spending the past 10 years in San Francisco as the director of a golf academy. His passion for the boarding school lifestyle, for ice hockey, and the fact that Tom Pratt was his coach in college has brought him back to the east coast and to NMH....

Assistant Coach

Coach Wags is no stranger to boarding school as he was a four year varsity player at Berkshire School. During his time there he was captain, MVP and was selected to the All New England team. After his four outstanding years under coach Pratt at New England College he received a degree in sports management and business. He then moved onto the professional level for five years in Europe; playing for the Basingstoke Bison and the Slough Jets. With the Jets in his final year of hockey the team won a major cup competition and Wags was named MVP of the team.

Joining coach Wags at NMH is his wife Amy, and their 5-year-old daughter Kyla, along with two yellow labs, Hutch and Ivy. They live in London House and are dorm parents to the Freshman Boys.
